MDLF Annual Event
The Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation held its 2025 Annual Event on Thursday, September 11, at the Indiana State Museum in Downtown Indianapolis. Nearly 350 Hoosier leaders gathered, including MDLF Fellows, Board Members, Smart Network members, and community partners.
On a date that reminds us of resilience, responsibility, and the enduring spirit that shapes our nation, this year’s Annual Event, Charting America’s Future: An Evening of Big Trends, Bold Thinking, and Purposeful Leadership, featured Bruce Mehlman, one of the nation’s most respected analysts of political, economic, and global trends.
Known for his sharp insight and signature Six-Chart Sunday briefings, Bruce joined Governor Mitch Daniels for a dynamic and thought-provoking conversation about the forces reshaping our country and the kind of leadership our future demands. From disruptive technologies to shifting political landscapes, their dialogue inspired reflection on how bold, principled leaders can chart a course forward in uncertain times.
The evening also celebrated outstanding leadership within the MDLF community. We proudly recognized Mickey Maurer as the 2025 Daniels Prize honoree, Anne Fuchs (Class VII) as the Outstanding Fellow, and Dr. Patrick Jones as the recipient of the 2025 Driving Change Award.
The night was presented by Garmong Construction, with IBJ Media as our Torchbearer Media Sponsor and the Bruce and Beth White Family Foundation as our Champion of Change Sponsor. It was an evening of purpose, connection, and momentum that showcased the very best of MDLF’s mission to Enable Leaders, Drive Change.
