Anne Fuchs Joins MDLF as Senior Director, Fellowship & Statewide Initiatives

Greetings, MDLF Network!

I’m Anne Fuchs, and I’m honored to introduce myself as the new Senior Director of Fellowship and Statewide Civics Initiatives for the Mitch Daniels Leadership Fellowship. As a Class VII Fellow, I’m humbled to deepen my commitment to the powerful, motivated network that has given so much to me.

For more than fifteen years, my career has lived at the intersection of public service and the arts. I’ve had the privilege of working in civic leadership, including serving in city administration for Mayor Pete Buttigieg in South Bend, and most recently at the Court of Appeals of Indiana, where I helped expand the Court’s statewide civics education program, Appeals on Wheels, into a nationally award-winning leader. That work brought judges and oral arguments directly into communities across the state to help Hoosiers better understand how their judiciary works.

Alongside that work, I’ve continued performing as a soprano with Indianapolis Opera and throughout the State. Whether on stage or in civic life, the motivation has always been the same: lifting up voices and helping people engage, take action, and lead.

Right now, building trust amongst institutions and the everyday person isn’t optional - it’s essential. MDLF is doing the important work of empowering mission-driven, energized leaders to create positive, impactful change statewide.

I’m grateful to work alongside Hoosiers I admire to advance leadership we can trust and initiatives that will drive our state forward.
